Current version of PHP 5.6 is now end-of-life and many new software packages and scripts require PHP 7. The default PHP version on our hosting platform will be upgraded from PHP 5.6 to PHP 7.3
If your using PHP 5.6 on any website, you will be upgraded to PHP 7.3, any other versions will remain unaffected.
WordPress users will notice that there is an error shown on the dashboard about the current PHP version and that it is out of date, we recommend staying on this version until the upgrade is complete unless you have a plugin or theme that absolutely requires a higher version.
For advanced users, you can choose which version of PHP your website uses, you will need to edit or create your .htaccess file and add these lines, for PHP7;
AddType application/x-httpd-php73 .php
and for PHP 5.6;
AddType application/x-httpd-php56 .php
